Recap: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Highline Pirates
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Enumclaw Hornets had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Highline by a score of 41-30. Enumclaw's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Enumclaw can attribute much of their success to Tristan Donovan, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Donovan was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunnar Trachte, who rushed for 13 yards and a touchdown.
Enumclaw has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.13 points. As for Highline, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Enumclaw will head out on the road to face off against Anacortes at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Anacortes will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Highline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
