Football Recap: Del Oro Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Del Oro was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They and the Granite Bay Grizzlies were almost perfectly matched up, but the Golden Eagles suffered a 14-13 defeat. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 24-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Isaiah Ene continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Granite Bay, rushing for 204 yards and one touchdown.

Del Oro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Granite Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Del Oro will be playing in front of their home fans against Folsom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Nolen Sauve and Ryder Lyons. As for Granite Bay, they will take on Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
