Gillespie found a leader in Brody Shaw as the squad took down Vandalia on Friday. Shaw turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Gillespie's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
