Basketball Recap: El Paso Comes Up Short

El Paso lost against Andress back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The El Paso Tigers fell 43-31 to the Andress Eagles. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Guevara was El Paso's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Guevara also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Andress found their leader in sophomore Sarai Duncan, who went 10 of 17 on her way to 27 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duncan has scored all season. Gianna Gulley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

El Paso's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Andress, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

El Paso will take on Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. El Paso is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Andress, they will venture away from home to take on Burges at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
