Basketball Recap: Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus Skates Past Morgan Park Academy with Ease

Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus won the last time they faced Morgan Park Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus Ravens breezed by the Morgan Park Academy Warriors to the tune of 71-41. The Ravens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 30 points or more this season.

Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus was led to victory by Cedrick Carter and Davideon Howard. Carter dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 boards, while Howard dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. Carter has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 36 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Rejivieon Hudson, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morgan Park Academy only posted six assists.

Despite the loss, Morgan Park Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyee Mason put up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ade Denton-Vance, who had seven points and four blocks.

Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Morgan Park Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
