Baseball Game Preview: Englewood Stem Panthers vs. Dyett Eagles

For the second straight game, Englewood Stem will face off against Dyett. The Panthers will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Englewood Stem will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Englewood Stem beat Dyett 4-1.

Dejohne Luckett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Jordin Walker was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Joe Love also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Englewood Stem's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Dyett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
