Recap: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. Lake-Lehman Knights

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Western Wayne Wildcats walked away with it. They managed a 21-16 victory over Lake-Lehman on Friday. The win was nothing new for Western Wayne as they're now sitting on three straight.

Western Wayne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Lucke, who rushed for 83 yards, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Carter Mistishin, who rushed for 22 yards and two touchdowns.

Western Wayne has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 8-3 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.6 points per game. As for Lake-Lehman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Western Wayne will square off against Scranton Prep at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th. Scranton Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Western Wayne in Pennsylvania (Scranton Prep is ranked 104th, while Western Wayne is ranked 311th). Lake-Lehman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
