Henry Stein produced another solid performance rushing for 148 yards and one score while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 64 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: New Canaan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Trumbull never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against McMahon on Friday. They blew past the Senators 35-6. Considering the Eagles' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

New Canaan better focus on containing Caleb Wuchiski and Braydon Blank as the pair were huge in Trumbull's win. Wuchiski rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown, while Blank rushed for 108 yards on only 11 carries. Those 108 rushing yards gave Blank a new career-high. Miguel Lamour was in the mix too, providing Trumbull with one TD.

Trumbull's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Keane Horne was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Trumbull received some extra help from Lamour, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

New Canaan's record now sits at 8-0. As for Trumbull, their record is now 3-5.

New Canaan took their victory against Trumbull in their previous meeting back in November of 2019 by a conclusive 48-28 score.
