Martins Mill had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Gary Bobcats by a score of 40-32 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on 19 straight dating back to last season.

Martins Mill can attribute much of their success to Archer Schneider, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five steals. That's the most steals Schneider has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Travis Baber, who earned seven points and 12 rebounds.

Gary's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Martins Mill will challenge Bishop Gorman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gary, they will square off against Broaddus at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
