Recap: Brunswick Bulldogs vs. Altavista Colonels
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Brunswick Bulldogs can now relate to. They took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colonels.
When it comes to explaining why Brunswick lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Tucker. Despite the final result, he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakel Edmonds, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Altavista, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Altavista will head out on the road to face off against Sussex Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sussex Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.
