Basketball Recap: Bellwood-Antis Falls Despite Big Games from Jenna Norton and Lilly Gerwert

Bellwood-Antis was the 55-51 winner over Tyrone when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils fell 50-38 to the Tyrone Golden Eagles on Friday.

Bellwood-Antis' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lilly Gerwert, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 boards, and Jenna Norton, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points. Those 20 boards gave Gerwert a new career-high.

Bellwood-Antis has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Tyrone, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Bellwood-Antis will welcome Chestnut Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd. As for Tyrone, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-50 victory against Penn Cambria on the 28th.
