Preview: Calvary Christian Academy Cougars vs. Jenkintown Drakes
Calvary Christian Academy has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Jenkintown Drakes at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Calvary Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Jenkintown will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, Calvary Christian Academy made easy work of Valley Forge Military Academy and carried off a 64-40 victory.
Meanwhile, Jenkintown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 45-40 to Bristol.
Despite the defeat, Jenkintown got a solid performance out of Tommy Walsh, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. The contest was Walsh's third in a row with at least ten points. Mason Steuber was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Calvary Christian Academy's win pushed their record up to 3-0, while Valley Forge Military Academy's loss dropped theirs down to 0-3.
Things could have been worse for Calvary Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-36 loss to Jenkintown in their previous matchup back in February. Can Calvary Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
