Volleyball Recap: Asheboro Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Asheboro was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Southern Guilford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Comets came up short against the Northern Guilford Nighthawks on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Nighthawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-8.

Cora Little paced Asheboro's offense, picking up six kills. Little got some help from Kailey Brown and her nine assists.

Asheboro's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Northern Guilford, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Asheboro will face off against rival Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northern Guilford is set to challenge their familiar foe Northeast Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
