Volleyball Recap: Arroyo Escapes with a Win

Arroyo was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out De Anza 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Arroyo got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-13, 23-25, 15-11.

Arroyo's win bumped their record up to 1-1. As for De Anza, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Arroyo is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Livermore at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for De Anza, they will square off against Vallejo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Dons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
