            Softball Recap: Pine View Panthers vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Pine View had lost three straight at home, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-15 to make it four. They lost  11-0 to the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was  back in March.
 Pine View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Maycie Schmutz, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base.
As for Crimson Cliffs, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
On Crimson Cliffs' side,  the result came thanks to  Gracee Stucki's shutout, as she gave up just three  hits and racked up 11 Ks. Stucki has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Nyah Snyder, who  went 3-for-5 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Sophie Staheli was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crimson Cliffs beat Pine View by a score of  13-2 on Monday.
