Soccer Recap: Ledford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Ledford was not quite Asheboro's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Blue Comets by a score of 4-3. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of six yellow cards before it was all over.

Asher Olson and Ibrahim Jah scored all three of Ledford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Ledford's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Asheboro, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ledford will host Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atkins will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ledford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Asheboro, they will welcome Grimsley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
