Softball Recap: Gateway Comes Up Short

After flying high against Island Coast last Tuesday, Gateway came back down to earth. The Gateway Eagles came up short against the Oasis Sharks on Thursday, falling 17-7.

Mallory Tiedeman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oasis, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Gateway will host Cypress Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oasis, they are taking a road trip to take on Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
