Volleyball Recap: Ryan Nance and Sebastian Castro Secure Win for San Ysidro

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but San Ysidro had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Imperial Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win.

San Ysidro was led to victory by Sebastian Castro and Ryan Nance. Castro had 24 assists and two aces, while Nance had six digs and four assists. Castro has been hot for a while, having posted 23 or more assists the last 13 times he's played.

San Ysidro is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Imperial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season.

San Ysidro will face off against Crawford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Imperial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
