Volleyball Recap: Steele Knights vs. Johnson Jaguars

Steele lost against Johnson on October 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Steele Knights lost 3-0 to the Johnson Jaguars. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Steele ultimately came up short, they really made Johnson work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 25-20.

Even though they lost, Steele was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Johnson can attribute much of their success to Rileigh Butler, who had 18 digs.

Steele's loss dropped their record down to 19-27. As for Johnson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 38-6 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Steele and United will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. United is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Steele will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
