Baseball Recap: Northview Drops Season-High Score on Blissfield

The matchup between Northview and Blissfield on Saturday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Royals. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Zac Crandall and Gabe Peace dominated on the mound. Crandall tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits, while Peace tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Crandall has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Northview got a massive performance out of Colin Tomanski, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Tomanski has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Holmes, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
