Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Academy Takes a Loss

Shenandoah Valley Academy suffered their closest loss since January 23, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguars by a score of 76-74. The Stars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Talon Robinson, who went 13 for 14 on his way to 26 points. The match was Robinson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kaden Carter was another key player, going 7 of 13 en route to 21 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Shenandoah Valley Academy and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Georgia-Cumberland Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Shenandoah Valley Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-33 loss against Granger Christian on the 1st. Georgia-Cumberland Academy has also already played their next game, a 63-36 win against Tournament Opponent on the 1st.
