Softball Recap: Mountain View's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mountain View dropped their record down to 7-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 5-1 to the Melbourne Bearkatz. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearkatz this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

As for Melbourne, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.

For Melbourne's part, Rylee Hoskinds was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

As of now, neither Mountain View nor the Bearkatz have any future games scheduled.
