Scotch Plains-Fanwood has gone a perfect 6-0 against Summit recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Hilltoppers at 4:00 p.m. Scotch Plains-Fanwood hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood was handed a 19-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Westfield 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Losardo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Summit sidestepped Union Catholic for a 6-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Gavin Schnall was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Gianni D'Agostino was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood's record is now 8-5. As for Summit, their record now sits at 5-7.

Summit's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Scotch Plains-Fanwood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. It's a different story for Summit, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Scotch Plains-Fanwood's hitters?

Scotch Plains-Fanwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Summit in their previous matchup on April 4th, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
