Softball Recap: Williamstown Yellowjackets vs. Gilmer County Titans
Williamstown had lost eight straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 6-18 to make it nine. They came up short against the Gilmer County Titans, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Friday.
As for Gilmer County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 25-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season.
For Gilmer County's part, the team relied heavily on Alexis Stoddard, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Stoddard has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Snyder, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
