Volleyball Recap: Harrisburg Takes a Loss

Harrisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marion Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Harrisburg sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 18-25, 25-22.

Jamisen Green paced Harrisburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Green got some help from McKendra Douglas and her 11 assists.

Harrisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Marion, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Harrisburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Benton on the 11th. As for Marion, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Carterville on the 10th.
