Football Recap: Lake Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Mansfield last Friday, Lake Ridge came back down to earth. The Eagles took a blow against the North Crowley Panthers on Thursday, falling 62-17. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-10.

Despite the loss, Lake Ridge still got an impressive performance from DeShawn Edwards, who threw for 163 yards on eight of 23 attempts, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for North Crowley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Ridge will square off against Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 893 yards in their previous games. As for North Crowley, they will challenge Weatherford at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Panthers will be up against the Kangaroos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
