Soccer Game Preview: Ipswich vs. Pentucket Regional

Ipswich hasn't had much luck against Pentucket Regional recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will host Pentucket Regional at 4:00 p.m. Pentucket Regional took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ipswich, who comes in off a win.

Ipswich is headed into the contest having not lost since September 23 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Triton Regional a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. Ipswich haven't had any issues with Triton Regional recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Pentucket Regional fell victim to Hamilton-Wenham Regional and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Generals. While losing is never fun, Pentucket Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Hamilton-Wenham Regional is ranked 46th).

Ipswich now has a winning record of 5-4-5. As for Pentucket Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7-3.

Ipswich skirted past Pentucket Regional 1-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do Pentucket Regional have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
