Volleyball Recap: Cox Mill Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Cox Mill had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Ardrey Kell Knights by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Cox Mill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 27-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Cox Mill was led to victory by Alaina Walker and Romey Gaeta. Walker had 18 assists and five digs, while Gaeta had five digs and two aces. What's more, Gaeta racked up 15 assists, the most she's had since back in September of 2024.

Cox Mill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hopewell on the 14th. As for Ardrey Kell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Lake Norman on the 14th.
