Baseball Recap: Kirbyville Wildcats vs. Warren Warriors
Kirbyville blew Warren out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Warren got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.
Cooper Murphy put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 5.2 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.
