Baseball Recap: Tivy Takes a Loss

Tivy saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to the Midland Bulldogs. The Antlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tivy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Russ, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-7. As for Midland, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Looking ahead, Tivy will be playing in front of their home fans against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midland, they will challenge Cornerstone Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Cornerstone Christian: 2.9, Midland: 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
