Recap: Lakeside Lutheran Warriors vs. Evansville Blue Devils
The Lakeside Lutheran Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Evansville by a score of 21-14 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lakeside Lutheran also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2019.
Leading Lakeside Lutheran to victory were Kaycee Guzman and Kooper Mlsna. Guzman rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown, while Mlsna rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Lakeside Lutheran also got a significant boost from Kayden Bou, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Lakeside Lutheran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Evansville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
Lakeside Lutheran will take on Platteville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Platteville is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games. Evansville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
