Davidson is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Pigeon Forge, who was ranked sixth in their home state at the time (Davidson was ranked 22nd). Davidson blew past Pigeon Forge 4-1 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Davidson considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Oak Ridge's offense. They fell just short of Dobyns-Bennett by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Oak Ridge have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Davidson's win bumped their record up to 6-3-3. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
