Baseball Game Preview: Hanford West Huskies vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears

For the second straight game, Hanford West will face off against Sierra Pacific. The Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the Golden Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hanford West hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Wednesday, Hanford West didn't have quite enough to beat Sierra Pacific and fell 2-1.

For Sierra Pacific's part, Kaleb Koelewyn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Harrison Grant, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Sierra Pacific is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hanford West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
