Harding County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Timber Lake Panthers 43-29. Given the Ranchers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Panthers are ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harding County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamry Padden, who posted 12 points and seven steals. Padden has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bailey Rae Verhulst, who earned 11 points and five steals.

Harding County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Harding County's win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Timber Lake, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Harding County will take on Dupree at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harding County is facing Dupree at the right time seeing as Dupree is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Timber Lake, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Timber Lake Panthers challenge the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
