Baseball Recap: Gloversville Comes Up Short

Gloversville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maple Hill Wildcats. The Huskies/Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Gloversville's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Maple Hill, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Gloversville and Maple Hill could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Huskies/Dragons will square off against Glens Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (501 vs. 149). Meanwhile, Maple Hill (ranked 315th) will meet Coxsackie-Athens (ranked 90th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
