Fillmore hasn't had much luck against Bolivar-Richburg recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Fillmore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Fillmore got the win against Hinsdale Central by a conclusive 17-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Isaac Wilcox made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Fillmore: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 6-7 otherwise. Wilcox was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Fillmore let Damon Potter and James Hillman run wild. Potter got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and five runs, while Hillman went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hillman has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Connor McCumiskey, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI.
Fillmore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hinsdale Central only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Bolivar-Richburg came into Monday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Andover 7-5.
Braden Zilker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Zilker was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Landon Barkley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Carson Lipyance was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
Bolivar-Richburg's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Fillmore, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Bolivar-Richburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fillmore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Bolivar-Richburg, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Fillmore's hitters?
