Basketball Recap: Sutherland Comes Up Short

Sutherland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a blow against the St. Patrick's Irish, falling 66-37. While losing is never fun, the Sailors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Irish are ranked 65th).

Several Sailors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Mortimer, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Holm, who scored eight points.

Sutherland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for St. Patrick's, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

As of now, neither Sutherland nor St. Patrick's have any future games scheduled.
