While Mauldin's victory against J.L. Mann wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mavericks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Patriots 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mavericks have posted since September 27th.

Mauldin wouldn't go down easily and took J.L. Mann into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 20-25, 23-25, 15-9.

Mauldin's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for J.L. Mann, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
