Recap: Grant Lancers vs. Monroe Vikings

The Grant Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Monroe 90-27 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Grant sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Grant can attribute much of their success to Anthony Minnoy, who scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Minnoy has scored all season. WILLIAM OVERTON was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Grant has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Monroe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Heritage Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. Heritage Christian is on a six-game streak of home wins, Grant a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Monroe, they will head out on the road to face off against Chavez at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Chavez has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
