Volleyball Recap: Alameda Comes Up Short

Alameda lost against Jefferson back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Saints.

Lilian Nielsen paced Alameda's offense, picking up four kills. Nielsen got some help from Valeria Marquez Munoz and her four assists.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.

Coming up, Alameda will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Denver West at 5:45 p.m. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Pirates have lost three straight at home , while the Cowboys have lost five on the road. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
