Basketball Game Preview: Colleton County Cougars vs. Battery Creek Dolphins

Colleton County and Battery Creek are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Colleton County Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Battery Creek Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Colleton County came up short against Fort Dorchester on Friday, falling 55-30. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Battery Creek played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 49-28 to Beaufort. The Dolphins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Battery Creek now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Colleton County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Colleton County was taken down by Battery Creek 69-35 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Colleton County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
