New London came out on top against Griswold on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Whalers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Wolverines. This was payback for the Whalers, who suffered a 9-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

New London has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Griswold, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, New London is taking a road trip to take on Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Griswold, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Killingly on the 3rd.
