Even though Cairo has not done well against Shaw recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Cairo came out on top against Shaw by a score of 60-53.
Cairo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keshen Spence, who scored 21 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Spence has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Powell, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Bainbridge aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Tuesday extended their overall winning streak to three. They walked away with a 64-53 victory over Early County. Bainbridge pushed the score to 53-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Early County cut but never quite recovered from.
Cairo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Bainbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
Cairo didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bainbridge when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. Will Cairo repeat their success, or does Bainbridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
