Softball Recap: Hannah-Pamplico Comes Up Short on the Road Against South Florence

Hannah-Pamplico had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Florence Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Meredith Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Payten Poston, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Hannah-Pamplico will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Clarendon at 7:00 p.m. on March 10th. As for South Florence, they will take on Lamar in a tournament on Friday.
