Basketball Recap: Austin Victorious

Brownstown Central came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Austin, but Brynn Owens wouldn't allow it. The Austin Eagles snuck past the Brownstown Central Braves with a 50-46 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Owens, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 26 points and six rebounds. The matchup was her 13th in a row with at least ten points.

Austin's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Brownstown Central, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.

Austin will head out to square off against Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brownstown Central will take on Corydon Central in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brownstown Central's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Corydon Central's offense will have their work cut out for them.
