Soccer Game Preview: Augusta vs. Andover Central

The Augusta Orioles are taking a road trip to take on the Andover Central Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Augusta and Circle had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Orioles never let the Thunderbirds get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Andover Central faced Valley Center in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Jaguars blew past the Hornets 3-0. Andover Central have beaten Valley Center the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Valley Center has come to flipping the script.

Augusta's record is now 4-2. As for Andover Central, their record now sits at 5-3.

Augusta couldn't quite get it done against Andover Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2018 as they fell 2-0. Can the Orioles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
