Softball Recap: Mather Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mather won the last time they faced Chicago Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Rangers were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won three matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Dahli Sanchez was excellent, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs. Enyerlis Serrano Castillo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

The win was the third in a row for Mather, bringing their record up to 3-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Chicago Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Mather wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-13 loss against Juarez on the 20th. As for Chicago Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 14-13 win against Schurz on the 18th.
