Basketball Game Preview: Manteca Buffaloes vs. Clovis West Golden Eagles

The Manteca Buffaloes and the Clovis West Golden Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Manteca easily dispatched Chavez last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Manteca fell just short of Tracy by a score of 50-47 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Buffaloes have suffered against the Bulldogs since December 21, 2017.

Meanwhile, Clovis West didn't have quite enough to beat Roosevelt on Saturday and fell 70-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Golden Eagles still had to take the loss.

Manteca now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Clovis West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
