Soccer Game Preview: Morgan Park vs. Tilden

The Morgan Park Mustangs will challenge the Tilden Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Morgan Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand South Shore International a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Tilden's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They and Hyde Park finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Tilden happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 18th.

The win made it two in a row for Morgan Park and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. Tilden's draw makes their record 4-1-1 this season.

Morgan Park took their win against Tilden in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
