Basketball Game Preview: Combine Academy Varsity Goats vs. Combine Academy Global Goats

The Combine Academy Varsity Goats will challenge the Combine Academy Global Goats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Combine Academy Varsity earned a 71-58 victory over Greater Vision Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Goats.

Meanwhile, Combine Academy Global posted their closest win since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Carter G. Woodson out 49-46.

Combine Academy Global found their leader in sophomore John Stokes III, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Stokes III has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times he's played. Siphelele Ngubane was another key player, putting up ten points.

Combine Academy Varsity now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Combine Academy Global, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Combine Academy Varsity came up short against Combine Academy Global when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 64-60. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Combine Academy Global's Sterling Bohn, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 21 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
